Orange Caramel All the Way!

Orange Caramel

This is another K-pop girl group (sub-group of After School) that I have discovered on YouTube, who has instantly became my FAVOURITE GROUP OF ALL TIME!!! I cannot stress how good they are! People who aren't familiar with K-pop at all would even agree that it's AWESOME!!

In my opinion, they have made the most unique K-pop MV that I've seen (sorry Crayon Pop). I mean, they have spent a fortune on the stage settings and the costumes; the fish costumes actually look like fish and yet cute. Normally in K-pop MVs, girls sometimes get on my nerves because they try to act too cute or sexy (not naming anyone here...). But Lizzy, Nana and Raina here have made everything look so natural and I really like the fact that they've actually began to make fun of themselves.

Eat Your Kimchi seems to agree as well:

Nana, Raina and Lizzy (from top to bottom)

You just need to check them out RIGHT NOW and tell me what you think!

This is called Catellena which came out in March 2014 ( it's got a few lines of a Punjabi folk song; the combination of Korean and Punjabi is truly quite...something)

Lipstick, released in 2012, is also very much on the same lines as Catellena. They're both awesome!

Feel free to share Orange Caramel with everyone!

Why you should know Crayon Pop

I reckon many of you have never heard of Crayon Pop and I don't blame you. Crayon Pop is a South Korean girl group (in other words, K-pop group), that rose to fame in June 2013 due to their viral hit BarBarBar. It was even ranked #1 on the Weekly Billboard's Korea K-pop Hot 100 chart for the first time in six weeks after its release.

Now, Lady Gaga has announced that Crayon Pop will be the opening act for her concert, 'ArtRave: The Artpop Ball' across North America from 26th June to July the 22nd.

So, why are they so popular? Well, to be honest, at first glance, I thought they were plain WEIRD. But, overtime, they are really likeable. They are nothing like a typical K-pop girl group which would normally consist of skinny girls in mini-mini-skirts or shorts. They focus more on entertainment and  humour does get you more likes than just looks. Try and see for yourself! (click play)

In December, they released 'Lonely Christmas' and now in 2014, their new BarBarBar is Uh-hee. To be honest, I am not that keen on their latest release though- it is very funny but hard to listen to everyday like it's perfectly normal because it is definitely NOT NORMAL!!! However, try watching Crayon Pop TV on YouTube and it's hilarious especially when the tins try to speak English.

So what are my conclusions??

Favourite aspects: the members all look genuinely friendly and not just for the sake of the camera and they've made motorcycle helmets trendy (so cool though I wouldn't walk around wearing a helmet on the high-street. I'd probably get looks or something...)

Anyway, check out their fan club if you're interested- I'd totally recommend these girls!
